Ensuring energy reliability – today and tomorrow

Natural gas storage is a critical – although mostly unseen – part of the U.S. energy system. Natural gas storage provides flexibility to manage seasonal demand swings, reduce price volatility and respond to unexpected disruptions.
Demand for reliable energy is also growing – driven by population growth, the rise of data centers to run AI technology and increased electrification of buildings and transportation. Plus, the integration of renewable energy is creating a greater need for flexible, dispatchable resources to balance load demand.

Natural gas storage meets these needs – underpinning both everyday energy reliability and the long-term transformation of the energy grid.
